Poll: Projectile binds in matchmaking and fighting events

Awhile ago I made binds into projectiles and drastically shortened their bind time to make them more acceptable in dueling, that change completely butchered their overpowered nature.

Feedback on them is a must if we are to consider such effects in pvp and right now they're still frowned upon and not used whatsoever.

I want to see them used in clan wars, I want to see spells in the game used, if the spells are bad, we'll change and balance them but before this on you the community I'd like to know your thoughts.

Wasn't me.

I think binding spells are acceptable since they're really easy to get out of as long as you have reducto (which most people do). So I see no reason why it can't be allowed in any event.

I disagree, Reducto is too instant, no cooldowns, no MP usage, it's too overkill and removes the purpose of binds completely. Adding Reducto would mean buffing the bind spells because otherwise Reducto makes binds useless. Waiting 15 seconds and careful aiming to successfully bind someone just so they can insta free themselves.

You can still use ctrl while binded, can still fire when binded. I've dueled a bunch to test this out, at long range usage it works as I wanted, close range is a bit more tricky.

You can get binded and insta killed but this is something that also requires the current combo of attack projectiles and stat build to maximum damage, also requires your opponent to be damage type. To counter this we plan to toy with the bind time, it's currently at 2 seconds and next update it'll go down to 1.7

Reducto remains for Immobulus and Confundos which aren't part of matchmaking, if those two were gone I'd remove Reducto as well.

Regardless, please do not give in to a knee-jerk reaction. Test it throughout, try to use it, give it a chance and give proper feedback. It's easy to jump back and hate it when Katze instantly freezes you and kills you, he's done it to me.

Incindia was nerfed a few times after we added it as well.

I'm thinking right now that the only way I'd get binds to react like I want is to have a snowball effect for time of bind, the further a projectile travels the longer the bind duration so it'll start from less than a second to a full 2 second duration at longer ranges.

It's just a thought, I might try this behavior on one projectile while having a different projectile with different behavior. We currently have 2 bind projectiles.
