You aren't required to use the default overlay states. You can make any thing as long as it matches with the movement. That is your main issue and reason why it looks bad. A custom overlay for it would at least look better than what you currently have, -points at pimp canes custom overlay- Not that I'm saying it will turn out decent or anything. Some things just don't work out like glasses for example. :P

I actually like it, Justin was looking into giving it a glow, why don't you try Skystone? Add a bunch of frames and try to make it glow-ish. Might look nice, don't make it a firework show just a bit of life in it.

If anything, Brandon brings up a good point. I mean... House colors are good in all, but not everyone wants that color with them all of the time. I mean, it's also kind of an insult if the person is a Jedi lover and is a Gryffindor, having to be with a Sith's color. Vise versa for a Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin.
