Auto Classes Feedback/Bug Report

This suggestion was made to receive feedback about automatic classes as well as to make it easier to report bugs.

Bugs may include uses not counting down on a certain spell, text typos or bad information in a lecture.

Note for players who are stuck with a practice wand that doesn't count down on uses, you can drag and drop it out to the floor to destroy the wand. You can not have more than 1 practice wand, this is an effective solution until a bug fix is done.

I won't be releasing a fix for every bug found instantly unless it's urgent. Let's make this into a nice game, first person to report a correct bug of a spell that doesn't count down uses will receive the spell. The others will have to wait for a bug fix.

As for feedback and new ideas, notice how projectiles have different ways to count down uses and it's as high as 1,000 to encourage using them on monsters or players, things like that are definitely welcome with other spells, so if you have an idea, suggest it!

What will happend with spellpoints, since automatic classes doesnt give you them?
Will they be given only on non-automatic classes or put them in automatic classes too or something else?

Most likely they'll stay with non automatic classes. Since NPCs can't really give you Spell points since you need to get the "Practice Wand" from them in the first place.

I feel spell points were Murra's solution to time zones and the fact people would have 90% of spells and just give up on classes because they'd go to a class and already have the spell, wasting a ton of their time.

Automatic classes on the other hand always have their door open, they stay for over 30 minutes and allow late joiners, ideally they'll happen by both a schedule and randomly, cover all time zones and occur a lot more times than a GM class.

With classes becoming so often and so easy, do we need spell points?
Then you have to consider that the actual point of this, is the practice wand, getting a wand and practicing a spell to learn it. This is some sort of a quest really, I love how you get a projectile practice wand and you have a large amount of uses required and you can either shoot at a wall, kill monsters or fight with players to get it faster, it's actually exciting.

I know it's not endgame content and most players already have most spells so they're concerned about spell points but this update was made more for new players who just start playing and get frustrated with their time zone or getting spells. It was also made to remove pressure from GMs and allow them to focus on other activities that will benefit -all- players more.

In addition to that, spell points are now a ideal reward from GM held classes, giving it an advantage, in the future if GM held classes become so rare, we can change the price of rename option and reset kills/deaths to another currency (gold or artifacts).

I think it's too early to know for sure what will really happen at the end with spell points, we might end up with a hybrid setup using both GMs and automatic classes, leaving it as is right now but what I do know is that automatic classes are not going to give out spell points for the reasons I stated above.

I know a lot of players are disappointed, mostly because they got all spells already and this update has little relevance to them but please keep in mind on long-term this update benefits everyone. Imagine classes become more creative and each class becoming a fun event with a spell or spell point reward for everyone plus another event prize for the winner and house points here and there or the benefit of new players perhaps sticking around, resulting in a larger player base, more fun people to know.

i like the auto classes i think it great :D but would it be a possibility of also notifying the player that already have the spell they gone teach when the blue message thing starts.. like a message in red for players who have the spell already it will say no need to go to class you have the spell already instead of sitting for 5 mins to find out you already have the spell...

other then that little suggestion there i really like it

Traxicous

That would be helpful Massive, but in the announcement it says what spell the class is teaching, so just a quick scan of your spells tab should suffice (excluding strictly verbal spells, just say the spell name to see if you have the verbal spell or not).

I already added Massive's suggestion.

It's been a few weeks now, last week we had a ton more auto classes, we even cancelled 1 of the 3 classes GMs do. How did last week go? Was it horrible?

Dylan

There was an Auto Class today for Rictusempra. In the teacher's explanation about the spell, they stated that it takes 50 MP to cast for each use but it actually uses 500 MP.

The required uses for learning Telendevour seem to be glitched and won't go down when using the practice wand for it.
