As some of you may know already, I recently hosted a hosted a role play event that seemed to have went pretty well(special thanks to Spitfire and Zachary for help making it happen). We started with about 5 players participating and ended with about 12.

I do plan on creating more story lines, and to keep track of the story, I have submitted this thread so everyone can see where the story has left off.

The story started as follows:

It was the first day of a new year at Hogwarts. New students had just rowed across the river in front of Hogwarts awaiting guidance to The Great Hall for sorting. After sorting, it was getting late, curfew was announced and the new students of Hogwarts were guided to their common rooms to remain there until classes the next morning. However, a handful of students overheard the headmaster speaking with Professor Zachary about a dark presence being felt in Hogwarts that night. The word spread quickly among the four houses, and despite the potential consequences of lurking around Hogwarts past curfew, many students roamed the halls searching for an answer. Some were caught by staff and punished accordingly, a few others weren't so lucky.

The next day, everyone awoke to an alarming announcement coming from the speakers of Hogwarts. Everyone rushed to The Great Hall that morning awaiting the devastating news to be presented by the headmaster. A grounds keeper reported three students being taken at wand point by a dark figure heading North-East of Hogwarts. All classes and events were cancelled until further notice.  A note was given to Professor Zachary the night before by a group of student that read,

"You think Hogwarts is safe? This place has become nothing but filth, letting mud
bloods attend a school meant for the most elite witches and wizards around the world.
No student will ever feel safe behind the walls of Hogwarts again after tonight."

Everyone was in shock, it was the second day of Hogwarts and a horrible event had already taking place. The Ministry of Magic had already been notified of the happenings but were unable to arrive for an investigation due to an unusual chain of events happening around the world of higher priority. There was no choice, the students and staff of Hogwarts had to investigate themselves and hopefully locate the lost students. Professor Zachary had to teach the first years how to defend themselves, he quickly went over the wand movements for Protego and Inflamari. Next, the headmaster ordered a search of Hogwarts for clues on the disappearances, everyone was to go in pairs. A couple older students were paired up to search the grounds outside.

Later on, various students came back with suspicious scrolls found inside Hogwarts. Each scroll had a letter, which were unscrambled to form the word, "DEATH" The students carried on their investigation of the lost students. Afterwards, commotion was heard from the frozen lake north east of Hogwarts. Everyone rushed to the scene to find a peculiar building in the middle of the lake. The door had a password charm, the students shouted, "DEATH" and the door swung wide open. What they saw was bitter-sweet, they had located the students, but they also came face-to-face with the eyes a petrifying Death Eater. Death Eater's weren't supposed to be able to step foot on Hogwarts grounds because of the protection charm that was placed hundreds of years ago. Outnumbered, the Death Eater suddenly apparated out and everyone was ordered to an immediate early curfew as Hogwarts went into a high-security lock down.

The students laid wide awake in their beds for hours when horrific laughter coming from the entrance of Hogwarts broke the dead silence of the night. Suddenly, the speakers alerted that a group of Death Eaters were attempting to break through the front door of Hogwarts. The students had no choice, it was either fight, or die trying. Everyone willing to fight lined up outside the entrance of Hogwarts. Many students were injured that night, and a few almost died. However, the defense was successful, barely, but it was successful. But this is just the beginning. Will Hogwarts remain safe? How are Death Eaters now able to approach Hogwarts?

(ending dialogue)
"Tonight was a night that will be remembered for years to come.
True evil took it's form tonight and Hogwarts will never be the same again.
Many of your friends, maybe even family were hurt tonight. Maybe even killed.
The students of Hogwarts will carry on with their classes day-to-day as they normally would.
However, their sense of safety and security has diminished greatly and will take time to recover.
But as always, the students and staff will remain strong and courageous, as even tougher times are just over the horizon."
