Auror Idea

I was thinking.... and realized that the Deatheaters all get to stay anonymous and no one knows who is who. While on the other hand, the Aurors are just out there. Names in bright blue for the world to see. What i'm proposing is that all the Aurors have their name tags changed to "Auror" so that they can keep their identity a secret & a uniform to match, since it would be pretty easy to pick people out on the accessories they wear (Wigs, Scarves & Shoes).

Aurors never really hid their identity though. Deatheaters were people of a secret society because if people really knew who they were they would immediately be killed, and those who were known deatheaters never came to public unless it was to kill someone anyway. Aurors are pretty much the opposite of that, they are known fighters who were there to protect the public. Why should Aurors be given a secret identity when they have nothing at stake? If there is a better purpose to it sure but I really don't see it fitting in with the role the aurors have.

There have been some complaints of Auror haters coming up to our beloved Aurors and insulting/harassing them. That is pretty much the source of the idea.

I don't imagine hiding someones name is going to stop those Auror Haters coming up to them and insulting/harassing them. Rather I think if the harassing and insulting is taken highly offensively and it is a personal attack that you would be better off taking it to a GM. I would expect some discretion to be used here, no coming up to a gm to complain about someone saying something like "Oooo so and so is a stinky auror, aurors are stinky." Etc etc
