Breakable Clan HQ Doors

I've come to recently notice that some clan members have taken a bit of advantage of their doors not being able to be opened by students and/or Death Eaters. However, I realize that it can somewhat cause a bit of an isolation issue where it will eventually become a bigger thing and more players will take advantage of this by just staying in the HQ's book training. It seems to be enough that they do not lose exp or gold when robed up.  I've also noticed some clan members killing themselves to get into their HQ which kind've takes away anyone else from getting in which leads to more of an isolation and essentially makes the HQ's unaccessible to pretty much anyone unless a Clan War is hosted.

Having breakable clan HQ doors similar to the Ministry of Magic's door, will allow players to go inside the HQ's and either be able to hang out or allow more clan HQ raids rather than always having to confront a staff member to host a Clan War which essentially will allow another way for clans to get more active or players to kind've prove what side they are on. This will also allow the possible defending clan to regroup at their entrance to defend the base rather than constantly getting over-run by the opposing clan and/or students.

So basically I can get 30 people to follow me to the HQ and slaughter them all at any given time? Sounds fun. I just see a bunch of complaints coming from it though. :P

All is fair in love and war :P a majority of clan members are fighters. Tis' only fair if they defend themselves no? Ex. Toss you, Rotem, Blaze, and someone else in an arena. You 4 alone would most likely be able to handle a large number of duelers :P. True that there might be a bit of complaints, butttt those who complain would most likely be those who aren't so good at dueling and need better training which should be attended to by the leaders :P unless there is a duel instructor among ranks. :P

If we do this, their prime door should have insane amount of hp and perhaps making it repairable with reparo.

Like, 1000 hits to open the door, reparo fixes 100, cooldown for reparo.
Could work out.

We can also disable summoning people in the HQ and relogging to make it harder to get in.

I just like the idea of students being able to trigger clan wars without GMs involved, although Murra did have an idea of automatic clan wars, that can actually also work out.

I think it'd add a new way to kind've spice up clan HQ raids and even Clan Wars in the HQ for that matter. Disabling the summoning in HQ's is also a good idea. This way players actually have to work to get their way back to the HQ's giving the defending clan a chance to repair their door and what-not rather than constant fighting and no way to repair it.

So i wouldn't have to be sly cooper to get into HQ's? I love this idea. -claps-

I like how this idea is being approved of almost entirely by people that are in a single clan. Sounds like frustration. :P

I'd rather see the front clan doors be given passwords that can be changed by the Clan Head every so often, Obviously with a decent sized cooldown, say every 1-3 days. This would add in all sorts of spying stuff that could happen, piss off less people than the 24/7 breakable doors, and actually be fun.

Kyo: No, it wouldn't just be people that suck at fighting complaining about it. I, personally, think it's a bad idea they way it's been suggested so far. I /could/ defend myself, but do I want to be doing it constantly, 24/7, and never have a moment of rest? Not really.

Definitely a better idea +1 to Ian.

The idea I like is being able to trigger clan action without needing a GM help.

Whether it's automatic clan wars that occurs every now and then and not once in a blue moon or breakable doors, it's good.

Since TWC started, I haven't seen clans being active unless one clan invaded another clan's HQ.
If this becomes to common, obviously people will just stop caring but if it's not common enough then the state clans are right now will continue and it's boring.

Also, I would love it if you don't have to be in a clan to actually invade, not everyone wants to be part of a clan, in fact the majority of players will usually not be in a clan. (As we get more new players this will become true)

Rotem

Here's a thought, there's a clan shop right now, you use clan points to buy stuff.

Defending your HQ against people that invade can earn you point and you can then buy door immunity, let's say the immunity can last for a few hours, then you can get rid of invaders and rest.

Even after immunity wears off, they'd have to break the huge hp door again (if they're still on).

I like the idea that Rotem has here cause it would allow the doors to be immune for a while rather than having to keep your guard up 24/7. On top of which, Ian, you say it promotes spies by having Clan HQ passwords, nobody is going to send a spy into a clan to get a password that can easily be changed within almost a day..Passwords in general were annoying and were previously in before. It didn't work out too well.
