7-Day Duel Tournament

A 7-Day Duel Tournament hosted and organised by myself, Blaze and Ivan will be taking place from Monday, 5th September.

You have the duration of today and tomorrow to enter. There is no entry fee. The tournament is open to all players of any level, both familiar with dueling and new players who have not dueled before.

The tournament format will be as follows:

Players will be placed in to a "Group" at random. There will be several Groups. From Monday, players will duel each other player in their "Group". Once this has been finished, each Group will have a final leaderboard.

We will then proceed in to a Semi Final and Final format on Sunday 11th in our special arena. Players finishing 1st and 2nd in their group will advance to the "Cup Finals" format and players finishing 3rd and 4th in their group will advance to the "Shield Finals" format. This means that all players will advance to another round of the tournament regardless of their group finishing position.

All participants will receive a small participation prize once the group stage has been completed. Finalists will be generously rewarded with a greater prize.

Dueling rules:
1. Duels must take place on the top floor duel arena in open space format. It will be a "Best of 3" format, e.g. the first player to achieve 2 wins. There will always be a winner and a loser.
2. You and your opponent may have the duel at any time convenient to you during the week commencing Monday 5th September before Sunday 11th.
3. Duel scores will be submitted via this forum thread. Included within your score submission, you need to include a 3rd party reference of a player who observed the duel to confirm the score's fairness and accuracy.
3. You may only use any of the following spells: Tremorio, Aqua Eructo, Inflamari, Glacius, Waddiwasi, Chaotica, Incindia, Incarcerous, Flippendo, Depulso. You may meditate.
4. You may not heal, ferula or use any stat modifying potions during duels. You may heal/ferula between duels.
5. You will achieve 3 points for a win and 1 points for a loss. In the event of a tie in points, the leaderboard will be decided by the head-to-head result(s).
6. In the result of a no-show from your opponent by Saturday, you will be awarded with the win. In the result of a mutual no show, no points will be awarded.
7. You may use enchanted items (incl. wands) but you may not use pets or potions (as mentioned previously).

The fixtures and groups will be posted on Sunday 4th, ready for commencement on Monday.

Congratulations to Vanchi, PickleJarz, Apeiro and Pie Whoop who made it to the finals. Please do not play your games until I am online as we will play the finals in the special duel arena.

Thanks again everyone for making this fun and reviving the duel hype. We will continue on this mission of dueling and have more long-term events in the future.
