Skipping a maze after finishing it

Fair warning: I only looked at the threads on page one.

Origin of need: Just recently, a couple of minutes ago, Candy was talking about how it would be nice to skip the maze and return to the "Chill Room", the last room of the lake maze. I thought about this a bit and thought that several of problems could arise from easier to think of solutions.

The suggestion: I figured, that if there is a button, or maybe a guestbook, on a small museum pole or something, a person can sign in it after completing the maze, obstacle, or whatnot. That way their name will be put into a list, CompletedGuests. Then they can also pick up a beeper, teleporter, or something from a box right by the guestbook icon. This beeper would then allow anybody who have been put in the CompletedGuests list to go into the room at any time. I would assume that the best way would be similar to a GM summon.

Extras: If we wanted to have this be an additional item, as not a temporary item where it get removed when the event is removed, what we could do is something a bit more complex. It would practically be a stampbook. Where we could have an item, stampbook, yearbook, event book, whatever, have slots that one can fill out. We could have it so that we can see four per page or the sort, and then on every additional one, we would create a new page for another set of four. Then instead of beepers, when we sign in, we could click on a stamp icon in order to mark the stampbook. Yes? No? I would love to hear additional thoughts even if this is a huge NOPE NOPE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPEEE!!! >;D

i like this idea, it prevents Idiots from killing you in those zones and having to do the maze all over again, if you dont remember the directions, you shouldnt have to do the maze again

Rotem

In my opinion you shouldn't have to do 3 mazes that contain no prizes whatsoever just to get the chillroom. I also don't support the concept of chill room, you complete the maze, you're done, you don't need to return there.

Everything is in the hands of the GMs who make the mazes, they can quite easily put a teleporter at start with a password a or two after the maze been released.

Fun fact: I added a passworded teleporter last night. It poofed when the game rebooted. And the chill room was only there so people can relax after the 3 mazes + the mob. That's all really.

Also, I told people it'll go away when it does (it being the teleporters) So no Triple, using any method for this for old events isn't a good idea at all. What if the area gets poofed from existance and the player has it in their book to go there? They'd end up in the void at this point.

You only got killed because of a GM telling others they could in that 1 maze. And again: bad idea (Reasons above)

The idea of the stampbook would be a combination of two activities. One, which would be temporarily, is a teleporter. This of course would be disabled when the gm disable the location assigned to it. Two, a reminder, something to brag, a trophy of sort. When the event ended and a person asked about it or ask if you been to it, you could show off by clicking on the stampbook and click on the stamp itself to reveal a say"[usr.name] has completed the [event.name] on [date]. /*Some kind of awesome description about the event*/ For those reading this, feel envious!!" or in OOC, though I suspect OOC would be a bit of a spammer.

Problem: New players won't be given the chance to ever go through what old players have. So I don't see it as a good bragging rights, because they'll be missing out. So if we were to 'implement' something like this, it would have to do with something /everyone/ new or old can go to, for them to add it in.

I see no reason to add something that new players can't fill out to be 100% like Old players. Especially when Staff members change events up each year. It's rare for an old event to come back around (Example: Rotem re-opening her maze this week)

This book would be to much of an issue, and for completionists, they won't get that satisfactory to getting alot in this 'book', especially if they are new players.

IF it were to be added, It wouldn't be on OOC. It shouldn't even be text based for brags. Things like Prom, atleast we do it every single year, so new players get a chance to participate, this one, they won't be able too.

Rotem

I sort of like the brag-book concept, I'll keep it in mind.

Come on now, you know thats not what happened, you were there. I got killed because another player didnt want me in the chill room, and you made me do the maze all over again. I wasnt in the maze and no gm said killing in the maze was ok while i was in there. At least make the chill rooms safe zones, youre suppose to be able to "Chill" there and not have to worry about being killed

Rotem

GMs have the ability to create safe zones, if they didn't, it's most likely because killing is ok. I've already stated my thoughts about 'chill room' so I won't repeat it.

Romani himself told players that killing other students in his maze was okay. So yes, I know what I'm talking about in that aspect. And you mean when Kizaru killed you? I left the chairs unkillable for awhile, I only turned the entire thing afterwards as a safe zone due to complaints that were rising. Not to mention, Kizaru never said 1 word of "not wanting you in there". And, I wasn't going to just summon you because then other players would have wanted it too. Which would cause people thinking I play favoritism and that I was being 'unfair'. That is why I did that passworded portal for those who /completed/ the maze.

Then I tested players by if they gave out the pass, that passworded portal would have been deleted and you would have no choice but to walk there if you wanted to go in it. My original idea was for like a little party room, like we usually have little areas every now and then for players to just goto for a special occasion. But then I just figured to just have it be a chill room in general, since on Halloween, things that I made for that holiday went out the window.

You are also not the only one who I said to walk back to the room.
