Deatheater Clan Icon

Hey all,

Since Julian doesn't seem to be working on the clan icons anymore, I decided to try and make them myself starting with the Deatheater icon.
So please give all your feedback as to how I can make this icon better. Feel free to download too and try it out yourself!

I used your sprite as a base and the used this image of the death eaters as a reference for some additional touches.
If you're interested i'll make a complete set.
Edit: I made the mask gold for fun.

Julian actually sent icons or w/e to Justin. I don't actually know what Justin thinks on that topic. Haven't heard a thing.

I avoided giving feedback on your icon but it'll soon become clear why.

It sucks. Be it the shading, the shape or color choice I wouldn't want to look like that in-game and that's my opinion. What you can do to improve it? No freakin' clue I'm not an artist, maybe try re-coloring the existing robes and add a hood to them as was expected of Julian to do instead of trying to do something my eyes aren't used to.

The whole lower part is just weird and I can't even recognize the body shape. It is possible that because you're using shades of blacks you're completely destroying my eyes, compared to Aurors white & blue this is flat out just black, yuck.

Can't say current base is not crap but at least it's crap I'm used to seeing.

I do recall Kyo sending over staff chat some robes with a hood, what troubled me is that when hood is off, you see nothing new on your back, like, there's no hood hanging at the back when not used, on the other hand drawing that may prove complicated.

I asked around and I'm toying with the idea of buying a new mob icon slightly bigger than the one we have. Can't cost that much for one icon right?

Then I suppose Justin and the community could do clothing on a base that is easier to work with.

Sounds good. I'll be happy to work on another base even if it contains more frames.
