Rename HP:TWC

This may be a bit of a controversy topic, but I think we should change "Harry Potter: The Wizards' Chronicles" name into "The Wizards' Chronicles".

By losing the "Harry Potter" part, the game would no longer be afflicted with the Harry Potter franchise directly and could benefit from this small change.

It's too early to think about such changes. Right now we're enjoying free advertisement. Basically this change would also require us removing any copyrighted material after which we'd have to do our own marketing and go serious about the game.

We're not ready nor equipped to do it. Right now everything is half assed because the game is both under staffed and too incomplete.
If you don't get what under staffed means, it means we really don't actually have important roles being fulfilled, whether it's pixel art, marketing and of course programming. It really isn't only about GM positions. Nothing is really taken seriously and we're mostly living off the donation of people's time and effort.

If we ever get to a point where the game looks like a professional game, that's when the Harry Potter title will start to actually hold us back until then however I'd say it's way too early.

Although I agree with Rotem in that this change is too early, I still wish to answer your question.

There are a good amount benefits of changing from Harry Potter: The Wizards' Chronicles to just The Wizards' Chronicles:
1. All of the features that TWC has that's clearly not related to Harry Potter (some of the mobs, enchantment, etc.) would make sense without the "Harry Potter" label attached to it as some of the features currently implemented in TWC are never addressed in any media forms of Harry Potter.
2. There wouldn't be copyright issues, so not only would TWC devs be allowed to make money (which I don't think they should unless TWC gets a ton more people/content) TWC would also have the ability to be featured on BYOND's featured page drawing in even more players.
3. People who don't like Harry Potter, or are turned off by the franchise (I believe Spitfire was kind of like one of those people) will more likely play as they don't see it as "That Harry Potter Game". They will see it as The Wizards' Chronicles, a game that doesn't have to rely on the Harry Potter name.

Once again, I agree with Rotem in that the Harry Potter label is helping for now. Later down the road however, I hope to eventually see it removed.

Too many things would have to actually change to make it viable such as houses would either have to be removed or recoloured and renamed aswell as someone making a completely different sigil for each house the map would have to change aswell as taking out Diagon alley Gringotts three broom sticks and chamber of secrets Bassy would also get removed or would have to change significantly not to mention a lot of players would be upset from the change since it will take it away from their experience such as the old players who love TWC for what it used to be it would be like a fuck you we're changing everything you loved the small things such as enchanter could exist in the Harry potter universe since really a lot can go on outside of hogwarts kept away from the ministry from my point of view removing Harry potter from the name would also be a fuck you to those who started TWC it would be changing their vision they made TWC for it to be a Harry potter fan game what gives us the right to take that away from them? Rotem thinks a lot about everything she adds to make sure people enjoy it and will occasionally go out of the TWC franchise if she sees fit yet really i dont think Rotem is confined by this since shes shown what she can do with the name and its great work but everything would have to change if you remove it for the sake of what?

Sigil's would have to be changed, as well as houses. Other than that? Nothing really has to be changed. Diagon Alley doesn't have to be changed, nor does Three Broomsticks. Their titles would be changed, but nothing else.

They would just need renaming. Robes wouldn't have to change whatsoever as they were made by TWC.

Really? I don't remember the last time I saw an Auror wearing all white in any of the franchises.
