I think you should have to fly in order to go across the lava, unless they want to talk on the lava and have burns.
This could also implement the broom fatigues again.

I set fireeeeeeee, to the broooms! Watched it burnnn as I- laughed awayyy.

No but srsly, sounds like a good idea :P. Seeing as how flying over lava would definitely have to type of result whether this be the wizardy world or not.

Didju just quote and Adele song? O.o Bad Kyo

I like the idea of taking damage while going over lava, and of low level brooms suddenly catching on fire and you falling to a lava-y death! Muahahahaha. Firebolt ftw

Rotem

I don't think people should take damage if they walk on lava, I think they should die... it's lava, how can they walk on it?

Perhaps make glacius temporary freeze it and turn it to obsidian or something so people could walk over lava.
Same logic could be applied to water.

Death

Makes perfect sense to me. Lava should burn you if you step on it lol.

actually you can run on lava...it depends on if its hot enough to have Newtonian liquid properties or not.  its like the corn starch/water mixture just hotter, i would say 5-6 steps before you burst into flames to be almost correct.

Brett Black

That would be a cool idea. You only have 5-6 steps to walk on the lava or else you burst up in flames.
