Extendable Ears

Wouldn't it be awesome just to be able to listen to conversations from afar? I think it would.

An extendable ear was a device created by Fred and George Weasley. They are long pieces of string with an ear at the end, at the start is just more string to that connect to their ears . It was used in order to hear conversations from a distance.

I think it would be a nice addition to the Green Men Shop and should be sold somewhere between 40-100k (but you guys can really decide).

There would be an ear that's attached to a piece of string that when used, would leave a pile of string when walking. The ear would either attach to doors in order for one to hear conversations inside or would simply be dropped on the floor. If a player walks on top of the string it makes the user say "Ow!!!", and then after that the user can only hear a third of what people are saying while using the ear.

I'm still deciding on whether or not to have the line look like a thin flesh-like color that blends in with the background or if it should just be a thin black line.

This would help with to discovering new secrets from a distance.

I actually like this idea but there is some things I would change to it. One, make it so that it is discrete an if a player sees it they can do something to cancel it essentially. Make the price higher, 30k is not hard to get but players need something to spend money on. I would say 100k would be appropriate for something like this. Make it so you can only use it once very few minutes so that if a player does discover you using it and prevent it you can't immediately just do it again. Another thing you could do with it is that if someone runs across the string of your ear, you get a message to the effect of "Someone trips over your extend ears string causing you severe hearing damage! Linshon says "OW!!!!" and then at that point you only hear little bits of the conversation something like every third message until it recovers.
