Rep Ultimates

When a player hits Legend status in the rep system what happens?

As far as I know it seems the player just gets the acknowledgement of being a Legend status in whatever rep system they chose.
What if we could push that status to be something to really strive for? What if we could make it so players wanted to stay in the rep system they chose?

Here's what I suggest: as soon as a player reaches Legend status they can take a quest that will allow them to learn an "ultimate" rep spell. This spell would be pretty powerful. I'm thinking like aoe fire, lightning that strikes adjacent players, or blood draining from an enemy to be absorbed by the user, but not too powerful where it's an automatic win. The spell should also be something that makes sense in the rep's beliefs.

I was also thinking that maybe this spell could have a sort of charge mechanic to use it. Before the spell has an effect, the player has to stand still (just like when summoning bosses or making weather effects happen via stones) for a duration of time, perhaps 10 seconds. This leaves the player open to attacks, which makes it a spell mostly for clan activity and not for dueling (though I suppose it could be used for dueling).

Lastly, the spell can only be used if your rep makes sense with the spell. So if you derank from Legend to Grand Master in the peace rep then you can no longer use the ultimate spell until you rank back up. This allows players to achieve both ultimates of either rep, however only keep one as a peace ultimate won't work with chaos legend rep, and a chaos ultimate won't work with peace legend rep.

Let me know what you guys think. Should there be any changes to the idea?

I'm going to state that reputation is not completed in the slightest and it's a bit early for me to comment, after all, I keep toying with the values and I haven't even added guilds yet and guilds are all about that.

Spells are not that easy to add in and every time I add them for reputation they have to come in pairs. The reputation shop already accomplishes this very purpose IMO.

And as for concept of ultimate, this is TWC and not naruto or DBZ, please please remember that. Everything has to be well balanced with a decent counterable effect and every side both chaos and peace have to be desirable and able to obtain both sides abilities.

I do not see a reason why magical knowledge has a reputation, you use your power for anything you may wish, the choice is yours, magic does not define you.

As time goes, there's a lot that will change to reputation, it will evolve in my head, right now I don't think you understand why things are set up the way they are, what does it mean to be a legend or what does reputation even mean, despite how I described this system to many and especially you many times there's still a great deal of confusion and people still think their clans will be taken and given to NPC heads which isn't what's going on at all.

The only way I see ultimates being used in TWC was actually developed from gravitate, as a temporary spell you can use in an event and not outside of it. A random event or so. Because it will be fun to run around with some powerful all killing spell and have people try to kill you when they're incredibly weaker but if it's an event and it's temporary it is but a mini game, with rewards.

Another concept that could be flashy would be "finisher" moves but how to tell when it's proper to use them is a whole topic.

That's what I mean. The only reason why I titled it "ultimate" was because it was the final spell one could get in either side of the rep system, yet the player wouldn't be able to keep it if they didn't have their reputation at the level required by the spell.

Why did I lose 7 rep points last night when I can count 21 in on my Rep page?

Thanks

Reputation decays every Sunday, unavoidable you lose something around 5%

Your total rep is 21 + rank numeric value which is probably 100: 121 * 5 / 100 = 6.05

21 - 6 = 15.

I suppose an extra point could've been lost via death.

The decay happens once a week and not if you ranked up within 3 days of decay day, above a certain minimum, it's a small percent and is easily recoverable, it's just meant to ensure inactive people go low.
