Remove AFK training

I logged in and there was 9 players, all AFK.

The player count has steadily 7-11 players. From what I've seen. Even though I -like- the event, it seems book reading is favored to alot of people.

I'd like to point something out. A new player is online right now, Once he found out he can't read a book (Malefic mentioned about reading, I had to correct him because of this event) He almost had logged off until I changed his mind:

If we remove book reading at all, we won't have players. The game will be even more dead than it is right now. We are lucky to even have close to 11 players at most within this week.

I'd remove AFK training until then, then remove book reading all together. It's just too easy to get level cap when you can sit there and read books all day all night rinse and repeat.

No one can really -get- to the level cap that easily. It depends heavily on how much time you spend near that book, and if you go between the two of being active and being afk, it extends the time of how long it takes. I know this from experience, because I didn't get to level 500 within 3 days like a few who decide to do a challenge within each other.

And even though book reading is safer for some, some people aren't always good at PVPing, or PVEing. And yes that is the case. Books help the players being able to safely read to either level up or to gain gold. I don't see much of a problem with it. I've even seen "AFK players" join events when they want to. So they aren't always afk in that sense.

So like Chase said, don't fix something that isn't broken.

I'd like to correct you on one part though, book reading is completely and utterly pointless. People do it because they aren't interested in lifting a finger. Since it's a game, I don't mind providing them the option to skip PvE however let's put one thing clear, leveling to the cap via monsters is extremely fast, it's so fast that I didn't feel the need to book read when I'm afk or playing another game, what's the point if 1 monster I kill is worth an entire night time from books?

The common mistake people do when killing monsters is not following Hunter's quest line, this leaves out quest exp and more important it leads to the second mistake which is not using exp lamps, hunter quests give a bunch of exp lamps including penta and sextuple lamps, those lamps are so insane that people who claim they struggle are obviously liars.

To me, this week is an advertisement of how quick PvE is, truth be told Sara, you never tried to level from 1 to 500 after all the fixes, changes and balances and neither did most people, they're all used to books, it's the devil they know. They're unaware of how easy it is, I've actually went on an alt and leveled all the way from 1 to 650 and guess what? I've done it in a day.

The real shiny part from books comes when you're at level cap, because who the hell wants to do 60 experience ranks for chests? And let's talk about the gold you gain from books, that's also useful if you make sure to remain online and near books. But to get to level cap? Monsters are definitely, the best, easiest, fastest method.

With inflamari being buffed and episkey being learnt at lower level, the argument where lower leveled players are struggling doesn't hold either not to mention that for some reason despite the fact they should only have struggled up to 50 but for some reason they kept complaining when they were 300.

So knowing how wonderful monsters are why do people favour books still? I'll tell you why, because it's a harry potter game and the fans aren't interested in monsters or pvp or any sort of fighting. You'd get more benefit from RP related activities because it targets this precise audience.

Sadly, I'm neither English, a strong HP fan or a RP fan. I love PvP and in most cases additions I make don't benefit the audience TWC is targeting. As for the issue at end, book reading will remain in order to provide an option for who wishes to use it, considering how monsters are faster, those who wish to put in a tiny wee bit of effort (really really small effort) will be greatly rewarded for it due to how much it is better.

In any case, after this week, I'll give a few rare prizes for top exp earners and then this will most likely become an automated weekly event with it's own prizes where book exp gained will simply not count towards the score but be enabled.

To repeat a certain point, if PvEing to level cap was too hard or rather impossible then point out the problem and let's balance it, it should be more fun otherwise it just hurts TWC. (Keep in mind floating eyes aren't really in question for this topic).

But I got annoyed I was following the quest line but I have to kill 150 pixies and I am like level 25..
So I either gotta read books or kill other monsters but anyway doing it by just following the quest line is impossible you gotta kill some other monsters too

You'll soon find out that progressing on quests solo will make you kill monsters much higher than your level, doesn't mean you can't use an exp lamp and kill something one tier lower to get stronger.
