If you are using BYOND version 506, many problems were reported such as lag, disappearing icons and even dreamseeker crashes, I highly recommend upgrading to the beta, 507, it actually is more stable.

I'd like to add that I did Upgrade BYOND with the 507 version and the PM's were bugged. I believe Rotem reported the bug but just wanted to point that out.

Yeah the latest beta has a problem with PMs, you can receive them but not send them.

That bug is fixed in the latest release. Reupdate.

Bump.

BYOND now "strongly" encourages to update to the latest build, announcement found here.

It's generally recommended to always keep updating to the latest stable version, if you experience any issues with the pager consider performing a clean install (Where you uninstall, delete all config files manually then install again). Clean installing often solves a lot of problems, I myself had a loading problem that was resolved this way.
