Rules:


  • Teams are randomly picked from those who show up.
  • If a player of one team shoots the quaffle into the opponents hoop they can't go after the ball until the other team gets it or it passes the middle line.
  • Spells are not allowed, don't use them.
  • Invisibility is not allowed.
  • No joke shop items are allowed.
  • Players must stay on their brooms.
  • No substitution of a player is allowed. (If a player leaves for any reason his/her team will have to keep playing without him/her)
  • Keepers are allowed to leave their box but they are not allowed to score points.

Balls:


  • The Quaffle is spherical in shape, bright red in color. The Chasers are to catch the Quaffle and throw it in one of their opponent's three goal hoops (scores 10 points per goal).
  • The Bludger is a big, hard, iron ball. It will fly around attempting to hit players off their brooms indiscriminately.
  • The Golden Snitch, often referred to as simply the Snitch, is a small golden ball the approximate size of a walnut. The winged Snitch is enchanted to hover and dart around the pitch, avoiding capture while remaining within the boundaries of the playing area. Each team has a designated Seeker, whose only task is to capture the Snitch. The team who catches the Snitch scores 150 points, only the capture of the Snitch will end the game.

Players:


  • The Chasers progress up and down the pitch passing the Quaffle by hand amongst themselves while keeping it away from the other team, in an attempt to score goals by throwing it through one of their opponent's three goal hoops.
  • The Keeper will protect the three goal hoops.
  • The Beaters are armed with wooden clubs that are similar to, but shorter than, baseball bats. They are tasked with protecting their team-mates from the Bludgers by knocking these balls off course or towards opponents.
  • The Seeker, usually the lightest member of the team, is charged with searching the pitch for, chasing down and eventually capturing, the elusive Golden Snitch. Seekers are the only players permitted to touch the Snitch.

  • Catch Quaffle - To catch the Quaffle.
  • Catch-Snitch - To catch the Snitch.
  • Steal - To steal the Quaffle.
  • Throw - To throw the Quaffle.
  • Hit - To hit the Bludger. *Only Beaters are allowed to use this verb
Note: You need to be near the Quidditch balls to use these verbs.
