Base Stats

What are 'Base Stats'?
Base Stats are your character's physical attributes; they determine your overall power. Stats are automatically increased every level by a default amount - you can increase individual stats with the use of 'Stat Points' - the process of killing monsters earns you 'Stat Points' (SPs); this is known as 'Stat Training'. The 6 Base Stats are:

  • HP
  • MP
  • Magic
  • Strength
  • Speed
  • Defense

HP
HP (Hit Points) is your overall health. This stat determines how much damage you can endure from other players or NPC monsters before death. Naturally, the higher your HP, the longer you can last without death.
Your HP increases by 10 per stat point. It's a good idea to increase HP as often as possible until you decide upon a long-term offensive spell and have mastered dueling in such a way that you rarely hit yourself. Clans look positively at players with high amounts of HP. To restore HP, you can Conjure a Nurse or use the spell 'Avis'. The most popular and easiest way to restore HP is to use the spell 'Episky' - this spell requires a wand, is learned at Level 51 automatically and does not require MP (see next paragraph). It is considered 'nooby' to heal during a duel, though.

MP
MP (Mana Points) is required for the usage of a lot of spells. The higher your MP, the more spells you can use or the more spells you can consistently use at one given time. To restore your MP, you can 'Meditate' which neither requires a wand nor MP - it is a Command, not a spell. It is useful to macro Meditating. Meditating is not seen as nooby when dueling. MP does not reflect upon your performance and it is recommended that you do not waste Stat Points on it.

Magic
Magic is one of the main base stats particularly for DADA spells. You can increase Magic by 5 per Stat Point.
Glacius and Aqua Eructo are the two offensive spells which work using the 'Magic' base stat. The amount of damage you can deal with these two spells is determined by the amount of 'Magic' you have.
Protego is a defensive spell which works using the 'Magic' base stat. Only, this is a little more complex. Protego is a shield. The amount of protection this shield gives is your Magic stat multiplied by 2.5.

Strength
Strength is one of the main base stats particularly for this DADA spell. You can increase Strength by 5 per Stat Point.
Tremorio is the only spell in TWC that uses the Strength stat. The amount of Strength you have determines the amount of damage you can deal with this spell.

Speed
Speed is one of the main base stats. You can increase Speed by 5 per Stat Point.
Waddiwasi is a Charms spell that is also offensive - however it is not DADA. The amount of Speed you have determines the amount of damage you can deal with this spell.

The above 3 (Speed, Strength & Magic) can be referred to as your 'damage'. You should pick one offensive spell (Tremorio and Glacius are most common) then train it's stat. Do not waste time and SP's on training multiple stats until you are satisfied with your strongest stat. Clans usually look for players with a nice amount of HP and 'damage' (5000 HP and 2000 damage is the very minimum in most cases for new 'never before' clan entries).

Defense
Defense is the amount of damage an NPC monster can do to you. Do not confuse this with HP. HP is how long you can last without dying. Defense is how much damage the NPC monster can do to you. The formula for this is: NPC Monster Strength - Player Defense = Damage Done by NPC (per hit).

Other Spell Information

  • Inflamari
The damage done by Inflamari is calculated by: Level x1.8
You should also note that the maximum damage Inflamari can do is 1000, thus after Level 556, Inflamari damage no longer increases.
  • Chaotica
Chaotica is considered the 'upgrade' to Inflamari. The damage done by Chaotica is calculated by: Level x2
You should also note that the maximum damage Chaotica can do is 2000, thus after Level 1000 Chaotica damage no longer increases.
  • Incindia
Incindia is a  spell that deals 1000 damage to every person in sight and 500 to the caster per person.
  • Avada Kedavra
This is a GM only spell. However, you should know that it kills anything regardless of it's HP/defense.
  • Crucio
Crucio deals 500 damage to a specific target - it is a target spell. It deals 0 to the caster.
